Is There a Novelette Coronavirus?

Ah, the novel coronavirus! The way things are playing out, its story will be a novel, all right!

But does it have to be that way? Isn’t there anything that could turn it into a novelette coronavirus? One with a much shorter history of impact and grip on humanity?

It might well turn out that whomever labeled the coronavirus as “novel”, might have given it a far more meaningful name than they knew!

One of those articles where I knew very little about what it was talking about so I ended up learning a slew of words.

Architrave

Pronaos

A vestibule at the front of a classical temple, enclosed by a portico and projecting sidewalls

Vestibule

An antechamber, hall, or lobby next to the outer door of a building

Antechamber

Ovolo

Egg-and-dart

An ornamental device adorning the fundamental quarter-round, convex ovolo profile of moulding, consisting of alternating details on the face of the ovolo (aka egg-and-tongue, egg and anchor, or egg and star)
