Jet d’eau Fountain of Lake Geneva

While I was in Geneva, I had roamed over to its old side down river from Lake Geneva, so I didn’t see its incredible Jet d’eau until I was high up on its old side and saw a water fountain beyond the drop off in my view. It shocked me because I had a sense of how high up I was in having climbed the hills up to the leveled area of old Geneva, and here was a jet of water from down below somewhere that look quite large, rising above this horizon?

Sure enough, when I made my way back to my hotel, I went closer to the lake and river mouth of La Rhone than when I had crossed over earlier, and that Jet d’eau just blew my mind, having a sense of the force, energy, and power required to do something like that from my science with some engineering background. The next day, I came back for a better look, and got this video from the lake tour boat. I even came back later in the evening from the other side after exploring it to see this fountain from a different view at night than before. I could look at it everyday, and be energized as if I could feel and absorb some of the energy it takes to keep it going!
