LEAGUE CITY, TX (USA)
Design C1
Four leaves horizontal
With the C series of designs, I veered off past designs a bit more to start giving really new looking designs for the redesign, rather than a tweaking of old designs. I started by changing the colour scheme to brown, white, and green of the city seal. This was different than in the previous flags, but not really new in already being in the city seal. However, it gave off a different feel. This colour combination had a calm, sturdy, and stable feel of an oak tree that League City seemed to like with its oak and green variations branding, compared to rousing red, white, and blue flags of the US and of Texas. With the colour scheme change, I added a reference to the four founding families in each being a city symbol of the oak tree leaf. Here, they are arranged horizontally, with brown bars at the top and bottom for a nice framing and reference to the trees important to the city.

REFERENCE
League City, Texas, is a city of about 112,000 in the southeast corner of the Greater Houston metropolis. The city has four founding families, but the League name came from J.C. League who developed the city along then existing railways. Over the years, trees have proven important to the city, with oak trees from 1907 lining Main Street, the city seal containing an oak tree, and the recent 60th anniversary of incorporation using an oak tree leaf. The city has several flags recently (last pic), all with more than just white and variations of green for colours that is on their website and recent branding.
