LEAGUE CITY, TX (USA)
Design B1
Metaphorical geographic nesting
For my first design, I referenced a recent version of League City’s flag with the two rectangular borders as the Councillor who had Design A1 did. However, I made those borders Texas flag red for the outer border, and Houston flag blue for the inner border, for those places’ relative geographical sizes. Within the area of the Houston flag blue border, I put the green League City leaf charge entirely in the centre. It is a metaphorical geographic nesting, if you will, in a radiant and memorable colour combination of red, white, blue, and green. The red, white, and blue, also gives a nod the American and Texan flags, even if not exactly of the same variations of red and blue.

REFERENCE
League City, Texas, is a city of about 112,000 in the southeast corner of the Greater Houston metropolis. The city has four founding families, but the League name came from J.C. League who developed the city along then existing railways. Over the years, trees have proven important to the city, with oak trees from 1907 lining Main Street, the city seal containing an oak tree, and the recent 60th anniversary of incorporation using an oak tree leaf. The city has several flags recently (last pic), all with more than just white and variations of green for colours that is on their website and recent branding.
