REGION OF QUEENS MUNICIPALITY, NS (Canada)

Sun on Fimbriated Lozenge
A lozenge or diamond field may feel a bit corporate, but I didn’t care to hide the facts that municipalities are incorporated these days, with the Queens RM branding being even more corporate with its wordmark logo like it’s some legal field accreditation. Fix that first, then we can talk about less corporate looking flags. Still, diamonds are generally well regarded, and a sun within it makes it rather distinctive and memorable.
This municipality recently told me they have a flag featuring their coat of arms (pic 2 of post), but no more detail. So this is now just a design exercise without possibility of collaboration or adoption.

REFERENCE
The Regional of Queens Municipality is a regional municipality in southwestern Nova Scotia that is a centre of outdoor activities with diverse geography within its 2,760 sq km (1,070 sq mi) area. Its boundary includes all of Queens County except for First Nations reserves, formed in 1996 through an amalgamation of the Town of Liverpool and the Municipality of the County of Queens with 12 other communities. Queens RM has a coat of arms and modern logo branding (Queens Coast with a QC initialed logo using a different colour scheme). Both are shown in pictures behind the flag in each post.
