REGION OF QUEENS MUNICIPALITY, NS (Canada)
Design 2B
Enlarged sun shield
With the sun being the prominent visual in the shield design, it was enlarged for this design that otherwise resembles Design 2A that widened the shield. Of course, vertical space had to be sacrificed to enlarge the sun in keeping the same flag height, so most of the horizontal rectangles depicting the waves were removed. Only one each of the alternating blue and gold rectangles were kept at the bottom as a sample of the full design.
This municipality recently told me they have a flag featuring their coat of arms (pic 2 of post), but no more detail. So this is now just a design exercise without possibility of collaboration or adoption.

REFERENCE
The Regional of Queens Municipality is a regional municipality in southwestern Nova Scotia that is a centre of outdoor activities with diverse geography within its 2,760 sq km (1,070 sq mi) area. Its boundary includes all of Queens County except for First Nations reserves, formed in 1996 through an amalgamation of the Town of Liverpool and the Municipality of the County of Queens with 12 other communities. Queens RM has a coat of arms and modern logo branding (Queens Coast with a QC initialed logo using a different colour scheme). Both are shown in pictures behind the flag in each post.
