MAHONE BAY, NS (Canada)
Design 1b
Logo with Trim
Not being fond of the white sky in Design 1a, I made it a beautiful sky blue, then fimbriated the logo in white, along with the land between the sea and sky for improved contrast, to get this design. The gold triangle from the logo is not idea against the white fimbriation, but I will have to figure out how to change the logo colours in a way that makes sense, rather than just change one colour in the logo to suit contrast purposes. This is only presented as is in case the Town Council didn’t wish to alter their logo in any way, which is always a real possibility given how stuck entities tend to be to their “brand”.
Constructive criticisms welcomed. Thank you.
REFERENCE
Mahone Bay is a small town of about 1000 residents on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. It is a picturesque tourism destination, especially the iconic three churches along the waterfront of the bay itself, though there are five churches in the town! It has a historic boat/ship building heritage, with more transport and industrial ships in the past, and more pleasure crafts in the present, from all materials but especially wood historically. It is also a current haven for entrepreneurs and business startups growing its population.
