Proposed Flag for Clark’s Harbour – Design 1c

CLARK’S HARBOUR, NS (Canada)
Design 1c
Cape Islander with anchor

The flag features a Cape Islander with the cross crosslet as its anchor, rather than guiding object in the sky in Design 1b. Religion as guidance or as anchor for the community, basically The Cape Islander is heading “home” to the hoist, on a barely wavy ocean of CoA blue, beneath clear skies of white. Lobster and other ocean boat fishing can be a dangerous profession so clear skies and a boat coming home are meaningful symbols deliberately chosen.

Constructive criticisms welcomed. Thank you.

REFERENCE
Clark’s Harbour is a small municipality in southwestern Nova Scotia, and home of the famous Cape Islander lobster and fishing boat design. The town has its own coat of arms (pic 2), from where this third design takes most of its symbols.
