I finally have some decent pictures of myself in some garments I’ve designed and made for myself so I’m going to start posting them. This one is of a full Transformers outfit I made from curtains at Wal-mart over 2 years ago. You can read about it on the original post. I’ll just share some pics of me in it here and now.
Dress Shirts
Dress shirts I have made for myself
CIVIL Outfit
This is my new fashion look for work and other business casual situations, along with general wear when I’m not preferring to be in athletic or other types of garments. It was inspired by McCall pattern 4745 of a historical Civil War look, with me doing my own pattern and adding the DIY wheeled or ring buttons that I came up with the idea for when the local fabric store didn’t have any buttons I liked and could use.
RUN Dress Shirt
This is my prototype for a short sleeve summer dress shirt, but which could also be worn during winter with a turtleneck or similar long sleeve T-shirt underneath. It’s nothing too grand, but fun to wear. The pattern is related to running, which I had done extensively in the past and still do today in a recreational manner. Of particular interest to me was the fact I now had a shirt with “No Pain No Gain” written on it.
EVERGREEN Dress Shirt
This dress shirt is meant to evoke calmness and stability with its hunter green, white and medium brown colour scheme inspired by trees of the evergreen forest. And like the evergreen trees, the buttons used has a little bit of wood on it.
VILLA Dress Shirt
The crimson, white and powder blue colours on this dress shirt were inspired by those of the English football club, Aston Villa. However, let me be clear from the very start there is no association of this shirt design, myself or anything related with the Aston Villa football club. It was just the colour scheme that inspired me so I named my shirt appropriate to give credit where it’s due. I’m a Manchester United fan. đŸ™‚
