The Lucky Few is an hour long documentary about the story of the USS Kirk and its crew in their incredible mission to rescue Vietnamese refugees during Operation Frequent Wind in the final days of the Viet Nam War.

As the War was coming to an end on April 29th to 30th, 1975, Operation Frequent Wind airlifted about 7100 “at risk” Vietnamese (to death from the Communist Viet Cong) and American civilians out of Sai Gon, the capital of South Viet Nam. Some lifts were scheduled. Others were not. The relative American small warship USS Kirk, a destroyer escort, and its crew suddenly found themselves in the midst of a flock of unscheduled airlifts, to which it admirably accommodated even though it was neither meant nor ready to do any such thing.

Welcome back to daylight savings time (DST), or what should be regular time as far as I’m concerned. This is actually the artificial time change to “spring ahead” the 1 hour for the majority of the year. But if it’s for most of the year, it should be the standard, in my opinion. It’s only a matter of time before you get revolutions and change when the minority rules.

It never ceases me every time I have to change the “clocks” of many many “clocks” I have to change. That doesn’t even include the ones I don’t have to change, like the one on my computer which changes itself after I had set it up to do so!

This year, I am “down” to a “merciful” eleven clocks/watches! ELEVEN!!!

Egyptian Dictator Hosni Mubarak

The wealth of Hosni Mubarak has been estimated to be somewhere between $40-70 Billion! That’s Billions, not millions. (CBC, via MSNBC)

That’s an unbelievable number! I mean, I knew the guy wasn’t poor, but having that many billions???

Billions is a big of a difficult number to comprehend besides the actual number, so here is some context as to how much wealth that is.
